I spent all of the (rainy) weekend finishing up making all of 2010 infused oils into Balms. Now all I have to do is wait for the weather to warm up and grow my herbs for 2011!
My friend told be one of her neighbors was having issues with his shoulder (frozen shoulder), and she gave him the leftover balm from her stash since he was in so much pain and had exhausted all other options. He came back over a few days later to ask her for some more "snake oil"... He and his wife both started to use it and they used up a 2 oz container in less than a week! She ordered two more for them, and now he is telling all his buddies down at his union shop about it! It just goes to show that you never know who might find the products beneficial. I will just keep making them and trust that they will find their way to those in need!
These balms and other products can be purchased here.

Food Politics Blog
I heard about this blog, politicsoftheplate.com on the radio and decided to look it up. Wow, he has some really interesting things to say about our food system, and I would love to read his book, Tomatoland too. If anyone out there is reading it, let me know what you think.
