I will not be back to Ballard Market until fall again. I am new at the market this year, so I have no "seniority" at the market. Which means that I am last on the list for a stall to sell. There are some farmers who only sell produce that is ready at this time like blueberries, but they have been selling for years at the market. It is only fair to let them in when the produce is ripe. I probably will be back there from October on, but you never can really tell.
The "TEA SHACK/ FARM STAND" is about to arrive at my farm!
I am about to get a shed equipped with a wood stove to dry my herbs at the farm, and I am so excited. I will have a great place to dry myself and the herbs during the winter, and to shade myself during the summer. I will also eventually be able to sell my wares there right on the farm.
My friend built the shed with mostly recycled materials that he had accumulated through the years, and now it is too small for him, so he is building another, and I am getting it!
I will again be a part of the KING COUNTY HARVEST FESTIVAL & OFFER A FARM TOUR SEPT 27TH 10-5! Check back periodically for more info.
